SEVERAL Arbroath and District Athletics Club athletes travelled to Grangemouth at the weekend to compete in the Scottish Schools' Track and Field Championships.
Medals were won, new personal bests were set and several club records were broken. Under-15 athlete Callum Edwards was awarded a Scottish Standard with his gold medal winning jump of 10.86 in the triple-jump.
Results are as follows.

C. Edwards, triple jump - gold, 10.86 (Scottish standard); 200m - 25.94.

D. Murray, Javelin - silver, 38.24; shot-putt - silver, 11.64.

C. McLoughlin, javelin - 19.02; discus, 15.64.

N. Dunphy, 800m - 2.44.48; 1500m - 5.50.39.

L. Calder, high jump - 1.50.

Hunter, high-jump - 1.35; 200m - 28.65.

R. Milne, javelin - gold, 35.45.

M. Downie, javelin - silver, 47.34; shot-putt - bronze, 12.81; 400 metres hurdles - silver, 58.60 (new club record).

D. Smith, javelin - 45.68.

M. McConnachie, 100m - 12.35.

P. Murray, hammer - silver, 31.91 (new club record); javelin - gold, 35.04.

M. Durbidge, discus - bronze, 27.84 (new club record); shot-putt - 7.25.
K. Gibson, 100m - 14.40.

R. Dunphy, 1500m - 5.04.02; 3000m - 10.48.2 (new club record).

N. Bell, 400 metres hurdles - 73.10.
