BOWLERS and Cricket Club, top placed and second teams respectively in the Checkpoint Arbroath and district Ladies' Darts League Division One, played each other on Thursday and drew, allowing Pageant (2) in third place to make some ground.
In Division Two, joint leaders St Thomas (2) and Beckets both won as did Pageant (1) in third place.
Lorne continue to be the runaway leaders of Division Three. They defeated Commercial (1) on Thursday to stretch their advantage to five points after Newgate lost out to Tutties (1).

Scottish Open
THE CLOSING date for entries for this year's Scottish Open competition is Sunday, January 31. Entry forms can be downloaded from the Scottish Darts website at www.scottishdarts.com
Champion of Champions
The Arbroath and district Darts League Champion of Champions divisional qualifiers will be played at three venues on Wednesday, February 10.
Each team is entitled to enter two players for the respective divisional qualifier. Last year's champion, Graeme Finnie, can also enter, giving the Lorne three places.
Venues are: Premier Division - Burns Bar; First Division - Crown; Second Division - Ram's Heid.
Consolation Shield
Any publican willing to sponsor this year's Consolation Shield competition should submit a bid in writing to the committee prior to March 3. A decision will be made at the committee meeting on that date.
Dates for the Consolation Shield are: first semi-final, Monday, March 29; second semi-final, Wednesday, April 14; final, Monday, April 26.
