Arbroath Sporting Club 4, East Craigie 1
ARBROATH Sporting Club played host to East Craigie from Dundee in the first round of the East of Scotland Cup on Saturday. And with both home goalkeepers injured, the gloves were handed to central midfielder John Duncan.
ASC opened the scoring in 23 minutes when they cleared a corner quickly to Sievwright who played in ATKINSON. He raced forward and beat three defenders before slipping the ball under the advancing Mitchell for the opening goal in 23 minutes.

The home side stretched their lead on the hour mark when a long clearance from C. Duncan allowed SIEVWRIGHT to control before beating Thomson. He then rounded Mitchell and slid the ball into the net.

Soon after, a corner was cleared to the halfway line where Atkinson collected and released Sievwright. He, in turn, passed the ball to D. Sturrock, who ran 20 yards before squaring to substitute OWBRIDGE to tap home from five yards.

Two minutes after Owbridge's goal a lapse in defence allowed Marshall to pick out MORRIS who struck from 10 yards.

Ross Sievwright looks cool, calm and collected as he rounds the East Craigie 'keeper, Mitchell, before slotting the ball into the empty net for Arbroath SC's second goal.
