ARBROATH were held to a disappointing draw away to Dumbarton on Saturday but will look to get back to winning ways against Montrose tomorrow (Saturday) at Gayfield.
The hotly anticipated derby marks the beginning of a run of four home games for Arbroath. Four games that will play an important role in how the season progresses.

Arbroath manager, John McGlashan, explained: "I have been able to watch Montrose a
few times at Links Park this season. They are a good side and the synthetic surface allows them to play passing football.

"If we win on Saturday we will go level on points with Montrose with one game in hand plus keep the gap between fourth and fifth place. Ultimately we must ensure we are looking ahead and not over our shoulders.

"Montrose will be a tough challenge and my players will need to be committed. Montrose will not sit back if we take the lead and we know from earlier in the season they will play the full 90 minutes. We have a good home record this season with only one defeat in all competitions and go into the game on the back of an unbeaten run which we want to protect.

Montrose have a number of players on-loan, the most recent being Chris Mitchell from Falkirk on a five week deal. Mr McGlashan explained: "Some managers look to bring in players from other leagues to add extra quality. I don't have a problem with that but I prefer the majority of my squad to be signed to Arbroath and committed to working for the team throughout the season."

The manager added: "The fans, as always, have an important role to play. With a few ex-Arbroath players in the Montrose side there will be a bit of banter which is part of the game and always good to hear. However, I hope the fans equally get behind Arbroath and support our players."
