THE OPENING fixtures in the 2008/09 Forfar Sunday League took place at the weekend.
Results were:

Division One - Dalhousie 1, Abbey Athletic 4; Finavon 0, FC Porty 3; Kirrie Thistle SC 1, Strathmore 9; Wesc v Cliffburn, w/o for Cliffburn.

Division Two - Burns Bar 1, Corner Hotel 4; Crown Inn 1, Tutties 1; Letham Hotel 5, Thrums 2; Millgate 0, Vollies 4.

Fixtures for Sunday:

Division One - Abbey Athletic v West End SC (A. Kennedy) Victoria Park; Cliffburn Hotel v Kirrie Thistle SC (G. Adams) Victoria Park; FC Porty v Dalhousie (K. Beats) Hercules Den; Strathmore v Finavon (R. Barclay) Lochside.

Division Two - AFC Plough v Corner (D. Muir) Kingsmuir; Burns Bar v Crown Inn (M. Torrie) Hercules Den; Thrums Hotel v Park Bar (P. Prophet) Martin Park; Tutties v Millgate (G. Ferguson) Friockheim; Vollies v Letham Hotel (D. Shepherd) Lochside.
