Scottish Singles Local Qualifier

Qualifying for the Scottish Singles competition takes place on Wednesday, October 15

All matches will be best of nine frames and to ensure the matches can be completed, an earlier start time of 7 p.m. has been implemented.

Each venue will play down to two players who will then move to the last-16 event, which will be held in the Portcullis on Sunday, October 19, at mid-day.

The draw is as follows:

Portcullis (two tables), prelim match one - Colin Brown v Bobby Gold; prelim match two - Roy Middleton* v Ronnie Edwards; winner match one v winner match two; Barry Watt v Scott Yeoman.

British Legion (two tables) - Davie Jack v Steve Hardwick; Kent Mitchell v Graham Dunbar; Steve Hallam v Mark McGlashan; Scott Berrie v Steve Webster*.

Burns Bar - Walter Preston* v Nevada Mitchell; Davie Hughes v George Fairweather.

Ram's Heid - Martin Cherry v Greg Alexander*; Gary Mitchell v Stuart Smith.

Abbey - Bob Whitelaw v Dave McPike*; Andy Jackson v Dale Leith.
Viewfield - Gordon Smith* v Gareth Ruxton; Dave McFarlane v Gordon Dickson.

Players should be mindful that the ADPL do not want a situation whereby a player who qualifies cannot subsequently make the final in December.
Players are reminded to check their calendars closely as, in the event they cannot make the finals, their place cannot be transferred and will be lost.
