ARBROATH will enjoy a break from league action tomorrow night (Wednesday) when Inverness Caledonian Thistle visit Gayfield in the second round of the Co-operative Insurance Cup.
The Lichties played the Highland men at the same stage of the competition last season when they lost 3-1 in Craig Brewster's first game back in charge at the Caledonian Stadium.

Marius Niculae grabbed a double for the home side, while Bryan Scott was on target for Arbroath.

The visit of Inverness is an enjoyable distraction for boss, John McGlashan, who commented: "This is an interesting tie, because we had Caley Thistle at this stage of the competition last season, but this time it is at home

"We have absolutely nothing to lose. No-one is expecting us to go and beat Inverness but no-one expected Inverness to go and beat Celtic! That is the joy of the cup."

Full match report, manager's comments and preview of Saturday's Second Division clash with Stirling Albion in this Friday's Arbroath Herald.
