Young detectives at work in Friockheim

Friockheim Primary pre-school class has been learning about the emergency services.

They have been detectives, trying to solve crimes, looking at finger prints and using the digital microscope to look for clues!

They followed this up with a visit to Arbroath Police Station where Kenny Millar showed them around the premises.

They learned how mug shots and finger prints were taken and they saw what the cells look like. They were even allowed to role play with a parent to pretend to take her photograph and put her in jail! At the end of the trip the children were given goodie bags to take home.

The pre-school class very much enjoyed their trip as can be seen this shot from inside one of the cells!
