Witness appeal after A90 crash

Police are appealing for witnesses following a road accident on the A90 northbound between Forfar and Brechin this morning (Wednesday).

The one vehicle incident took place at 7.30am, and involved a silver Vauxhall Corsa, which left the northbound carriageway and collided with a tree near the Careston junction.

The 19-year-old male driver of the vehicle has been taken to Ninewells Hospital with serious injuries.

A police spokesperson said: “Anyone who was travelling on the A90 near Finavon or Brechin at this time and has any information that could assist officers with their enquiries into the incident is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.”
