Arbroath Coastguard is looking to recruit new members who have a sense of adventure and are willing to help people in need.

The Arbroath Coastguard team is ready to respond to a variety of emergencies and is fully trained in rope rescue, water rescue and search co-ordination.

They work very closely with their colleagues in Carnoustie and St Andrews along with both the Arbroath and Broughty Ferry RNLI teams.

The Coastguard is an important part of life in Arbroath. Not only do they fulfil a vital life-saving role, but they also do a lot of work in the community.

There is also a strong social aspect to joining Arbroath Coastguard, and they put a lot of effort into fostering a healthy team identity.

They are looking to recruit at least another five volunteers.

You must be over 18 years of age, physically fit, and have good availability during the day or night.

Application packs are available by sending your name and address to rossgreenhill@mcga.gov.uk
