Members of Arbroath Art Society were treated to a watercolour demonstration by a Moldovan artist living locally.
On Friday members and guests were introduced to Broughty Ferry-based artist artist Natasha Golovina.
Originally from Moldova, Natasha did her art training in the former USSR and worked mainly in watercolours as material for other mediums was hard to obtain.
Since moving to Britain she has been able to use oil and acrylic paint and brought along some examples of her work to show the group.
Natasha’s demonstration using watercolours showed her meticulous approach with careful initial drawing followed by application of strong colour.
The next meeting of the society will be on Friday, May 4, and will take the form of the annual general meeting followed by a talk by Marie Etherington entitled ‘Framing Your Art Work’.
