Video: Town honours Red Lichtie spitfire

A BRIGHT sunny day brought the crowds to the High Street on Saturday for the parade honouring the Red Lichtie spitfire.

It is the 70th anniversary of the aircraft and a special spitfire flypast at Victoria Park along with a parade in the High Street marked the occasion.

The parade included around 200 serving and ex military personnel and included X Company of 45 Commando Royal Marines and the attached 7 Sphinx Commando Battery.

Our video captured the Arbroath Royal British Legion Pipe Band playing to the crowds followed by members of 45 Commando.

Remember to pick up your Arbroath Herald on Friday for more pictures and a full round up of the Red Lichtie festival.
