SCHOOLGIRL Carrie Smith underwent the chop on Friday, when she had 21 inches cut from her hair for charity.
Carrie (12) had her first real haircut at afternoon assembly in Ladyloan Primary, raising £2,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
Her sister Abby (10) suffers from the condition, and she was on hand to help out with the cutting along with mum Sheila and dad Dave.
As well as helping one charities, the hair cut from her head was also collected and wrapped up to be sent to Little Princesses, a charity that provides real hair wigs for children with cancer.
Around £2,000 was raised for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust and our video captures the moment Carrie’s ponytail was cut off.
