Two youths charged after derby disorder


Police Scotland confirmed yesterday (January 8) that two youths have been charged in connection with disorder at the Montrose FC versus Arbroath FC football match on January 2.

The two male teens involved were aged 17 and 15-years-old and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.

Further offenders have been identified and enforcement action will be taken in respect of these individuals.

A police spokesperson said: “Football related violence and disorder will not be tolerated and banning orders will be sought for those charged with such offences.”
