THE ARBROATH Company of St Andrew’s First Aid recently held a presentation night for their Badgers and Cadets.

The ceremony took place in the United Free Church Hall with parents and friends present to celebrate the hard work the youngsters had put in over the past year.

The Company’s recently appointed Commandant, Brian Fairweather, made the presentations, this being his first official duty as the new Commandant.

Four Cadets were presented with the St Andrew’s First Aid Junior First Aid Certificates. They were Megan Davies, Lauren Robb, Nadine Scrimger and Lauren McIntyre. Badger Ellie Munro received a trophy for Badger of the Year and Cadet of the Year went to Cadet Megan Davies.

Other Awards presented were: First Aid Badger - Ellie Munro; Scott Spalding; Molly Bogue; Molly Claffey; Cameron Couzins; Marc Tosh; Samuel Kumar-Claffey; Courtnie Wilson and Rebecca Spalding. Safety Badger: Ellie Munro; Scott Spalding; Molly Bogue; Molly Claffey; Cameron Couzins; Marc Tosh; Samuel Kumar-Claffey; Courtnie Wilson and Rebecca Spalding. Certificate for Most Improved Badger, Scott Spalding; Certificate for Excellence in First Aid Knowledge, Molly Bogue; Certificate For Excellence in First Aid Skills (practical), Marc Tosh; Certificate for very good attendance - Cadet Megan Davies; Cadet Lauren Robb; Cadet Lauren McIntyre; Cadet Nadine Scrimger; Badger Ellie Munro; Badger Marc Tosh; Badger Molly Bogue and Badger Cameron Couzins.

Badgers and Cadets are now on holiday for the summer and will resume again Wednesday, August 24, with the Badgers at 6 p.m. and the Cadets at 7.30 p.m.
