Hospitalfield House will be the place to go this Mothers’ Day weekend with plenty of ways to show you care.
Special emphasis has been given to the ‘Illusions’ open weekend to make it the perfect treat for Mum.
With a special artists preview tonight (Friday) between 6.30 and 8.30 p.m. in the Picture Gallery, followed over the weekend by a number of special artist-led events by some of the most innovative creative talents on the modern scene.
A spokesperson for Hospitalfield said: “We have been discussing with volunteers and colleagues what would make a special Mother’s Day programme. The chef has been working on delicious food, especially sweet treats, so that visitors can enjoy a great lunch or tea and cake in our pop up café.
“When spending the afternoon at Hospitalfield together, visitors can choose to explore at their leisure, join a guided tour to learn more about Hospitalfield House and it’s history and take time to look at the new art works which have been presented by Laura Aldridge and Caroline Achaintre.
“We also have a plant swap going on as we know that this is the time of the year that people are thinking about new additions for their garden.
“The afternoon will conclude with music in the Picture Gallery which should be a magical end to the day.
“People have been getting in touch about the weekend, it’s a balance of visitors who have been here before spurred on to return because of good memories and those who have never been and are excited to see inside for the first time.”
