President Angus Nairn opened the meeting, the first of the new season of the Thursday Club, affiliated to Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland.
Four new members joined the club at Arbroath Bowling Club, Dishlandtown Street, and were warmly welcomed.
A large donation was also received by the Thursday Club from the Troupe family, who were greatly thanked for their kindness.
It was then time for tea and sausage rolls, supplied by Steve Butchers which everybody described as excellent.
Next was the Irish Bingo which this week was won by Magnus Brady.
Dancing followed with music provided by Johnny Mac and soon the floor was busy with dancers.
Following the dancing Mr Nairn announced that a few seats are still available for the club bus trip.
Anyone who wishes to go on the day trip (Tuesday, September 8) should contact him on 01241 872188.
The meeting then finished with Margaret giving a vote of thanks and Lovie Parker led the singing with ‘The Lord’s My Shepherd’.
