The Island Challenge

Scottish Autism is asking for your support by taking part in “The Island Challenge“, a sponsored swim to raise funds for the valuable work they do throughout the country. Imagine that each of the 91 populated islands of Scotland are represented by 18 lengths of a swimming pool; if you swam the lot you would have completed 1638 lengths in total and would reach gold medal status. If you swam around the Highlands (1170 lengths) you would achieve silver and around the Western Isles (900 lengths) bronze. You can enter as an individual or work together as a team, ticking of the islands as you swim lengths in your local pool. Of course, taking part is the main thing. Any distance or donation would be hugely appreciated.

Karen Wilson, Scottish Autism’s Fund-raising Manager, said: “By participating in this challenge and supporting Scottish Autism you would not only increase awareness of autism but help us reach more people living with autism in Scotland. By taking part or donating you will help us reach more people affected by autism in Scotland.”
