The Arbroath Fairtrade Action Group committee has expressed its gratitude after £750 was raised at a recent afternoon tea event. A spokesperson for the committee said: “It was lovely to see so many of you there, supporting the group to help raise funds and awareness of the work of the Fairtrade Foundation. The wonderful amount of £750 was raised which will be divided between both local and overseas groups and projects. This will help ensure that the work of the Foundation which is about better prices, decent working conditions, local sustainability, and fair terms of trade for farmers and workers in the developing world, continues. So once again, a big thank you to you all.”
