Former Royal Marine Taff Davies, from Arbroath, is to undertake a long march (yomp) starting from John O’Groats down the length of Britain to Lands End.
The route he will walk will cover a distance of 1262 miles which he will undertake at 15 miles per day. He will have friends to join him at various sections of the journey.
Taff (real name Malcolm) estimates the distance to Lands End should take him 85 days. He starts his epic walk on May 2, and should reach Arbroath on May 15. Taff is doing his yomp to raise funds for three charities; Cancer Research UK, Alzheimer Scotland and Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund.
Taff also did a previous charity walk in 2012, when he walked from The Royal Marine base at Condor Arbroath to Poole.
Anyone wishing to join him on his walk at any of the stages can text Taff on his mobile, 0771 8074451.
