MEMBERS of Arbroath Round Table were accompanied by Vineet and Lisa Wahi, of Eugene, Oregon, USA, when they handed over a £120 cheque to Averil Fleming and Frazer Hirsch, parents of twins Ayley and Chloe.
The youngsters require ground-breaking surgery only available in the United States to enable them to walk.
The donation will be added to the total raised to cover the cost of the trip to the USA early next year for the specialist operations and follow up aftercare in Carnoustie.
Vineet and Lisa are spending a week with the Arbroath Tablers as part of their honeymoon. The Active 20-30 Club of Eugene 920 kindly gave Arbroath Round Table a £60 donation to celebrate their current 60th Charter Year. They asked that the donation be given to a local charity of their choice. The Tablers matched the £60 given and decided to give to Ashley and Chloe in view of the operation being done in USA.
