‘MOVEMBER’ is the month formerly known as November, when eight members of Arbroath Round Table will grow moustaches to raise awareness and funds for men’s health issues.
And what better way to start the month off for the Tablers than to get Arbroath’s most famous moustached personality, the Arbroath FC legend Eric Sellars, to give them a team talk.
Eric met the guys earlier this week and gave them some tips on how to grow a mouser like he had in the 1970s.
He said: “It is great what the guys from Arbroath Round Table are doing to highlight awareness for men’s health issues, and I was delighted to give advice on how to grow their moustaches like mine.”
‘Movember’ aims to change the face of men’s health and reverse the way of thinking by putting a fun twist on the serious issue. Using the moustache as a catalyst, it aims to bring about change and give men the opportunity and confidence to talk about their health more openly.
‘Movember’s’ primary campaign objective is to raise awareness of men’s health issues, specifically cancers affecting men. Donations to the Tablers’ fund can be made to any Tabler, or by contacting Arbroath Round Table through its Facebook page www.facebook.com/arbroathroundtable
