The full programme of “Summer in Angus” events has been released, showcasing how people can entertain themselves over the course of the summer.

Theatre lovers will be in for a treat on July 11 when Heartbreak Productions will perform the children’s favourite “The Jungle Book” among the beautiful gardens of Glamis Castle. Glamis remains in the spotlight over the weekend of July 11 and 12, as the Scottish Transport Extravaganza sees some of Scotland’s top vintage cars, lorries, motorbikes, tractors and steam engines driving to the castle and then around the show ring.

Meanwhile, less than 20 miles down the road, hundreds of Harley Davidsons are expected to roar into Brechin on July 11 for “Harley Davidson In The City,” which will include the annual midday ride out from Brechin Castle.

The following Saturday, July 18, will see Kirriemuir Agricultural Show promote the Angus countryside, with numerous competitions and trade stalls.
