A BUSY Arbroath road was closed for over an hour on Tuesday after it was blocked by a car accident.
At 3.39 p.m., Commerce Street was impassable after a silver Peugeot hatchback collided with a parked car.
Police and paramedics were in attendance and a 48-year-old male was taken to hospital with chest injuries which were not thought to be serious.
At 5.07 p.m. the thoroughfare was reopened after police arranged for the removal of the vehicle. The incident is still under inquiry.
