Sentence delayed in fairground fracas case

An Arbroath woman must wait longer to learn her fate after causing a disturbance at a fairground in Motherwell.

Deborah Williamson (30), 19 Seafield Road, appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court after an incident at M&D’s Theme Park in Motherwell, on April 2. She admitted she shouted abuse, demanded alcohol, threw leaflets about and acted aggressively towards staff.

Williamson was spotted staggering around and trying to grab members of the public. At one point she threatened a young girl. She also admitted assaulting a man by grabbing his private parts.

Williamson was on bail at the time.

Sentence had been deferred after her first court appearance in April and has now been delayed again until September for more background reports.
