Scouts from all over Angus gathered at the Jock Neish Centre, Tannadice to complete in the annual Angus Flag and Camping Shield competitions.

Patrols of five or six showed off their camping and cooking skills throughout the weekend as well as being challenged in navigation, mapping, first aid, observation during a hike out to Finavon Hill and back.

After a very close run contest, the eventual winners of both the Flag and the Shield was the patrol from Newbigging Scout Group (pictured). This was the first time since 1994 they had won the Angus Flag. The runners up in both competitions were the patrol from Tannadice Scout Group

The winning patrols from North Angus (Tannadice), Arbroath & Montrose (1st Arbroath) and South Angus (Newbigging) districts also earned the right to represent their own districts at the Zonal Finals of the National Scout Camping Competition at Douglaswood in three weeks time.
