ARBROATH student Frances Hunt is part of a Dundee College team of staff and HND biomedical science students who are taking a biodiversity roadshow.
Frances is part of the team touring three separate venues across Dundee to ensure everyone has the chance to take part in exploring the natural world.
“We are offering a variety of fun and fascinating drop-in sessions for all the family,” said Frances. “There is a range of activities for people to become involved with including identifying animal skulls.”
And to prove just how interesting this could be Frances was introduced to a toothy carnivore’s skull in the college’s science block.
Other subjects going ‘under the microscope’ at the Dundee College roadshow include examining live ants and worms, and isolating an individual’s own DNA.
Dundee Science Festival 2011 runs from, Saturday, October 29 to Sunday, November 13.
