Santa is coming to town!

Santa is gearing up to tour some of Arbroath's streets.
Santa is gearing up to tour some of Arbroath's streets.

Santa is once again teaming up with Arbroath Round Table to tour some of the town’s streets and meet children before Christmas Day.

He will be on his sleigh, accompanied by members of the Round Table, on Sunday and all children are invited to come and say hello.

There will also be a collection by the group as they tour the streets.

The proceeds raised will be used for an old people’s party next year and other activities to help and support elderly people.

The first sleigh ride will take in the Cliffburn and Mayfield areas from 3.45 p.m.

The route will be: Provost Milne Gardens, 3.45 p.m.; Burnett Drive 4 p.m.; bottom of Abbotsford Road, 4.15 p.m.; top of Abbotsford Road, 4.30 p.m.; Ness Drive (near bottom of Flairs Avenue), 4.50 p.m.

The second tour will be around the Warddykes area with the route of: Grampian Gardens, 5.20 p.m.; middle of Warddykes Road, 5.40 p.m.; Demondale Road, 6 p.m.; Bruce Road at bus stop, 6.15 p.m.

The evening will end in the Kirkton area with the last stop at 8.15 p.m.

The route is: Beechwood Road near number 17, 6.50 p.m.; Beechwood Road near number 56, 7.10 p.m.; Lauder Road near entrance to Oliver Wynd, 7.30 p.m.; end of Lauder Road, 7.40 p.m.; top of Herald Avenue 7.50 p.m.; East Kirkton Road, 8.15 p.m.
