HER ROYAL Highness Princess Anne will visit this year’s Angus Autumn Fair at Guthrie Castle.
The event raises funds for Save the Children.
It takes place on Monday (October 15) and Tuesday (October 16) and the royal visitor, who is President of Save the Children, will attend on the Tuesday. She will be met by the chairman of the Angus branch, the Countess of Southesk who will introduce her to members of the committee.
The Fair has been running for many years and has raised a substantial amount for the charity. Last year alone it raised £11,500.
Entry is £7 which includes a glass of wine and nibbles. On Monday, it is open from 3.30 to 8.30 p.m. and on Tuesday opening times are from 9.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. Throughout the day delicious home baking and coffee is available and lunch from 12 noon onwards.
It is 20 years since the Princess visited an event organised by the branch.
