A RE-ENACTMENT of the signing of the Declaration of Arbroath by Arbroath Abbey Timethemes was a highlight of the Medieval Fete run by St Vigeans Church on Saturday.
A large crowd braved the inclement weather and enjoyed demonstrations of woodturning, the use of a spinning wheel and how to make ceramics.
Music for the occasion was provided by Brechin City Band.
The duck race, as ever, proved popular, as did the usual stalls, a barbecue and face painting.
r Our picture shows King Robert, the Abbot of Arbroath Abbey and Barons in the hall.
r Refreshments with no medieval connection at all were disbursed by stallholders Nancy Robbie (left), who was in charge of ye olde Irn Bru, and Sandra Menzies with ye colde ice cream.
