ARBROATH Rotary Club held their Burns Supper on Thursday evening at the Meadowbank Inn, with president Mike Sowden in the chair.

Rotarian Jim Cargill carried in the haggis with piper Duncan Alexander, and president elect Dale Hatton addressed the haggis.

After an enjoyable meal, Peter Black, past president of Arbroath Burns Club, and a well known raconteur and Burns enthusiast, gave a passionate ‘Immortal Memory’.

The evening continued with musical interludes from ‘Inchcape’, comprising Tony Simpson and Iain Grimond, who presented a host of Burns songs. An amusing vote of thanks was proposed by Rotarian Jill Kerr.
