Arbroath Rotarians are gearing up, quite literally, for their annual coffee morning with a difference which takes places this weekend.

At 10 a.m. tomorrow (Saturday) Arbroath Rotary Club will open the doors of the Old and Abbey Church hall for their fund-raiser dressed up in all manner of outfits.

Club president Ian Lamb explained: “We appreciate the support that the Arbroath people give us during our year of activities and we try and make the coffee morning as entertaining as possible.

“There really is something for everyone, as well as having a wide range of stalls, including, cake and candy, plants, bric-a-brac and books, our members and helpers dress up; we have had pirates, cowboys and Indians and Hawaiians, all helping out on the day and bringing some cheer to the event.

“Of course the coffee morning has a serious side to it,” said Mr Lamb, “This year our club has actively engaged with our local community and the coffee morning, once again puts our club and its members alongside Arbroath’s town folk.

“All the proceeds will go to local charities and I look forward to welcoming everyone to the Old and Abbey Church Hall.”

Entry is £1.
