Rotaract Club for Arbroath

ARBROATH Rotary is intending to set up a Rotaract Club in the town and is hoping to attract interested 18-to-30-year-old men and women to an information evening in the Meadowbank Inn on Thursday, March 22, at 7.30 p.m.

Anyone in that age group who is interested in making a difference in the community while having fun should come along and find out more.

Rotaract is a unique international service organisation offering a wide range of activities that enables young people to develop their professional and personal skills whilst having a great time. A non-political and non-religious organisation it has 190,000 members in 170 countries giving members the opportunity to meet new people and expand their network of friends.

Rotaract Clubs are autonomous and organise their own social and fund-raising events with the local Rotary Club giving assistance to get the club up and running. Thereafter, the club is run by the members for the members who set the agenda.

Clubs usually meet fortnightly in a venue chosen by the members where they arrange their social activities.

Anyone who is interested should come along to the meeting in the Meadowbank and hear more about the opportunities offered by Rotaract.
