ARBROATH’S Seaton Road will be closed for around six weeks from Monday, July 2, while essential maintenance work to the road and pavements are carried out.
As the work, which consists of kerbing replacement, carriageway resurfacing and footway resurfacing, is in close proximity to two primary schools, it is being done during the school holidays to minimise disruption.
The road closure is necessary to allow the works to be carried out safely and to provide safe site access to residents and businesses.
The diversion route is via Cliffburn Road and St Ninians Road.
The bus service will be rerouted from Horologe Hill around the diversion route. Passengers are asked to use the nearest bus stop in Ponderlaw as the bus stop in Seaton Road will not be in operation.
On-street parking will not be available while a section is under construction and residents are asked to find alternative parking while work is being carried out.
