A dangerous wall in the west end of the town which fell down almost a year ago should be repaired within the next few days.
Councillor David Fairweather recently hosted a meeting between the home owner, Mr John Curry, and Angus Council and they managed to thrash out a solution to the problems. Workmen moved in last week and made the original wall safe before starting to rebuild.
A council spokesperson commented: “I can confirm that work on the wall should be complete in the next week.”
Councillor Fairweather stated: “The wall will be topped off with fencing, which was one way to keep the costs down.”
