Remedial work at Victoria Park

WORKERS from Angus Council roads department are working at Victoria Park in Arbroath to try to dry out a muddy area at the bottom of the raised beach.

A council spokesperson explained: “The work is to install a drain and soak-away, to resolve the problem of a wet and muddy area which has formed at the bottom of the high banks.

“In addition, a drain is being installed higher up, at the Braehead path, to divert water to the soak-away. The work should be completed by the end of February, followed by reinstatement of the grass surfacing later in the spring.”
