Record attempt thwarted by a technicality

THE LIMELIGHT Theatre Company have been shocked to find they are not being awarded the Guinness World Record of the fastest musical production.

Last month the Arbroath-based group performed the Cliff Richard musical ‘Summer Holiday’ to a packed audience at the Webster Theatre, having just had 20 and a half hour to prepare.

Guinness World Records had been considering whether to award them the title but due to a technicality in the guidelines, and mistakes made on both parts, The LimeLight Company were not awarded with the world record.

However, the company say they will not give up easily and are now planning a third and final attempt at claiming the world record in June.
