THREE local scouts met TV survival expert Bear Grylls after completing the top award in the scouting movement.
Martyn Low, Darrell Scorgie and Clayton Scorgie, who are members of Arbroath Scout Network have gained the Queen Scout Award.
The award is gained by young people in the Scout Movement aged between 16 and 25 who have completed a range of challenges.
These include service to their community, completion of an expedition in wild country, undertaking a five-day residential project in an unfamiliar environment and learning a new skill or developing an existing talent.
And the trio were presented with their awards by the Chief Scout Bear Grylls during his visit to Angus last Sunday.
