Award winning artist Rachael Kibbler was honoured to have her new exhibition officially opened by Provost Helen Oswald on Saturday.

Rachael said: “The opening went very well. A good turn out and I even sold a painting within the first hour.

“It was very exciting opening my solo exhibition with the Provost Helen Oswald. I have great pride in knowing I produced all these works and marketed the exhibition myself.

“I cant take credit for the hanging though as that was mostly my dads work. Thanks to him all the works look beautifully framed too.”

Rachael lives and works in Barry with the support of parents, who are also artists. Of her inspirations she said: I am inspired by so many things: water, landscapes, skies, trees, flowers, and people. I am quite a spontaneous painter and want excitement and feeling bursting out of my paintings!”
