A POPULAR sports initiative will be returning this month.
Hockey Nights is aimed at children aged 10 to 19 help them develop their interests and skills in a supportive and enjoyable fashion, in conjunction with Angus Council sports development team and CashBack for Communities.
All sessions will be delivered by qualified Scottish hockey coaches and all equipment will be provided for these free sessions.
Tayside hockey development coordinator Scott Anderson said: “I am delighted to be able to run a second block of sessions within the CashBack for Communities initiative.
“The original sessions were very well attended by the local kids, with tremendous support from Monarchs Hockey Club.
“We have already seen a transition from this diversionary activity into a developmental activity, with the youngsters accessing a local club set up for continued participation in the sport.”
Hockey Nights will run for 10 weeks every Friday from August 26 between 7.15 and 8.45 p.m. at the Sports Centre.
