45 COMMANDO Regimental Sergeant Major (RSM) Stephen Moran requested members of the East of Scotland branch of The Royal Marines’ Association to visit his Sergeants’ Mess on RM Condor by Arbroath recently.

He spoke to his own current serving Sergeants and welcomed the former 45 Marines of the RMA back to Condor. The RSM briefed them on 45’s seven-month tour of the Helmand Province in Afghanistan, and advised the first company would be deployed mid-March, with other companies joining soon after.

The RMA chairman Tim Donovan assured the Royal Marines present that, if requested, the RMA would offer assistance where ever possible to the families and loved ones at home while their men are serving abroad.

Those attending were happy to meet fellow Royal Marines exchanging stories of former tours of duty within the Corps.
