ANGUS Council has announced that it is well on its way to meeting its corporate improvement targets.
It was reported to the council’s strategic policy committee last week that progress is being made on the actions in the 2010/11 corporate improvement plan.
The committee convener, Councillor Bob Myles, welcomed the improvement saying it reflects a best value council.
He went on: “We have completed 35 of the 47 actions listed in the 2010/11 plan; five of the remaining 12 are due for completion in 2011/12 and the other seven are progressing well.
“As well as a range of financial and performance improvements we have reintroduced the Angus Citizens Panel to ensure residents’ views inform our planning and we have agreed a customer service strategy and plan to make sure we can properly respond to customer’s needs both now and in the future.”
