ANGUS residents will shortly receive their annual electoral registration form through the post and are being encouraged to complete and return it promptly.
John Galbraith, electoral registration officer for Angus, Perth and Kinross, said: “Registering to vote is quick and simple. All you have to do is update the annual electoral registration form with details of everyone who lives in the household and is eligible to vote and return it to us as soon as possible.
“If your details haven’t changed you can simply reply by telephone, Internet or text message.
“Although there are no scheduled elections in Scotland in 2013, a by-election could be held at any time and you need to be registered in order to vote.
“Anyone who has not received a form by September 3, or would like more information, should contact the local electoral registration office.”
Residents in living in Angus Council administered areas should contact the office in Forfar on 01307 462416.
