Police probe pub assault

Officers in Arbroath are appealing for information after a 17-year old man was assaulted at

an Arbroath pub in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The incident took place at the Stag Bar on the Westport at around 12.50 a.m.

The victim entered the premises and spoke briefly with bar staff before he was approached by a man who assaulted him and knocked him to the ground.

He was treated at the scene for a minor facial injury.

The suspect is described as five feet eight inches tall, 37-44 years of age, of stocky build, wearing a light blue-coloured checked shirt and glasses.

Anyone with any information that may be useful should contact Police Scotland, Tayside Division on 101, or any police officer.
