Plea from Santa

OVER the past three weekends, Santa has visited the Abbeygate Shopping Centre, Arbroath, having accepted an invitation from the Rotary Club of Arbroath.

During his time there he handed out almost 550 presents and was assisted by Rotarians and their families. The excitement in the children’s eyes was captured on camera and most of the photographs were handed out at the time, but a few were unclaimed.

Santa has had to return to the North Pole to get ready for Christmas Day but he has left the unclaimed photographs with Specsavers in Abbeygate, so if you did not get your photograph at the time please pop in to Specsavers in the next month and pick it up.

Santa has also agreed that the proceeds of £1,428.00 be given to Rotary Foundation. This is a division of Rotary International devoted to humanity, poverty and education improvements. It also covers the eradication of polio, which is now almost completed except for four remaining countries in the world.

Santa thanks everyone for their help and looks forward to seeing you all next year.
