THE LAST few places are available for the Carnoustie Country Classic in which participants take in rounds on the Carnoustie Championship, Monifieth Medal, Panmure Barry and Montrose Medal courses.
The event is a highly competitive amateur golf tournament with an accompanying programme of social events – all for the price of £399.
“The Carnoustie Country Classic offers fantastic value for money and a fabulous opportunity to play four of the world’s classic links courses,” said Jan Brodie of Monifieth Links, one of the organisers of the tournament, which runs from May 12 to May 16.
“It’s also an opportunity to test your golfing skills against golfers from across the globe. This year’s tournament has attracted golfers from America, Germany and Denmark, as well as the many British golfers who have signed up.”
The Carnoustie Country Classic consists of a 72-hole stableford competition with gents’, ladies’ and over-65s’ championship titles and daily individual prizes.
Entries are open to men and women golfers, with a maximum handicap of 24 (men) and 36 (women), with a limited number of places still available.
As well as playing an iconic Open Championship courses and three historic Open qualifier courses, the Carnoustie Country Classic features a programme of social events, with a welcome reception at Panmure Golf Club, a hotly-contested quiz night and a gala prize-giving dinner at Carnoustie Golf Hotel.
