PEPPO’S Chip Shop celebrated 60 years of business at the weekend by raising money for a children’s charity.

Owners John and Frank Orsi decided to use the occasion to help the Children’s Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS) by donating the day’s takings to them.

Regulars and first time visitors flocked to the shop on Saturday to sample the fish suppers for charity.

A total of £1,825 was raised from donations, a tombola, tablet and cake, and the sale of the shop’s popular fish suppers.

John said: “We would like to thank our customers, family and friends for making the day such a successful one and helping us raise money for this worthwhile cause.”
