DESPITE the poor weather there was a full house at Tuttie’s Neuk last Wednesday night when everyone enjoyed a wonderful night of original rock and blues from the Eric Hill Band.

All profits were in aid of Angus Independent Advocacy (AIA) a local voluntary organisation based in Arbroath High Street.

Sol Christie, a guest singer with the EHB, and his performance partner, Clare, got things off to a great start with their opening set. Eric visits Scotland regularly but is based in New York State.

He said: ” It was a wonderful night and we certainly felt the upsurge of good vibes which lifted us right with it.”

Linda Bailey, manager of AIA, commented: “We are so grateful to everyone who helped make the night such a success, including of course Eric and the Band but also AIA’s staff, volunteers and their friends and family, who came along to give their support.

“We are looking forward to enjoying another night with the Eric Hill Band as Eric has promised us that the he will return to Arbroath next year.” The event raised just under £500 for AIA funds.
