Angus actors will be back in business again this weekend for an annual one act play festival at the Webster Memorial Theatre.

This year the Angus round of the Scottish Community Drama Association will be held tomorrow (Saturday) night with all three teams hailing from Carnoustie.

Appearing on stage will
be Stage Stars with ‘Fuadach’, Carnoustie Theatre
Club (Youth) with ‘This Is
The Real Me’ and Carnoustie Theatre Club (Adult) with ‘Porch’.

The CTC youth production ‘This is the Real Me’ has been co-written by two members, Audrey Doherty and Susan Crabb, whilst the Stage Stars entry ‘Fuadach’ has been
written by Bryan Dargie Lynch.

Both have been entered into the SCDA Scott Salver competition which seeks to encourage new playwriting and the performance of original works.

Competing teams will be vying for a place in the divisional finals which are to be held in Birnam at the end of March.

Tickets, priced at £9
for adults and £7 for concessions, are available from the Webster Memorial Theatre box office on 01241 435800 or online at www.webster
theatre.co.uk.

A full report of the evening’s events will be in next week’s issue.
