Old school’s doors are open

TOMORROW (Saturday) will see an opportunity to visit Arbroath’s former Ladyloan School.

A number of local artists have taken studio space in the east wing of the building, joined recently by Starter Packs Angus who moved in to the West Wing just six weeks ago.

Starter Packs has also leased the main hall that runs between the two wings of the building.

To mark Doors Open Weekend, the former school will be open from 10.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m.

Admission is free and in addition to the craft fair in the hall, visitors will be able to visit Starter Pack’s Scrap Store, an Aladdin’s cave of covetable materials from lace to leather together with hundreds of other items bound to whet the appetites of crafters of all ages.

Craft Shack exhibitors include Joanne’s Cupcakes; Rowan Tree Crafts candles, soaps and bath bombs; Nosey Rose Parker’s hand-painted silk ties and other fabric items; Usborne Books; Star Beads and Ceramics; Bits and Bobbets miniature rag dolls, fabric party bags and gemstone jewellery; Fiona Fotheringham, Partylite; Bygone Days vintage linens, glass and pottery.
